Cask & Larder at Orlando International Airport in Orlando, FL, has made headlines since it’s opening being ranked No. 3 among the Top 10 Airport Local/Regional Dining in North America by USA TODAY. The focus of this location was to play off of the original restaurant in Winter Park with a blend of old and new elements, while specifically highlighting the farm to table experience and providing travelers a true escape. Inspiration was drawn from sustainable and natural elements to bring the restaurant’s theme to life. The eatery incorporates rustic wood and pops of sky blue and red staying true to the restaurant’s brand. Wooden fencing and lush greenery serve to separate the space from the rest of the terminal, and at the center of it all is a huge life-like oak tree with lighted lanterns and reclaimed jars hanging from its boughs. Because the original location was a brewery concept, the same attention to detail showcasing their specialty brews is displayed in the main bar with elements such as logo-stamped beer barrels housed in the overhead bar design. Vibrant lighting, eclectic seating choices, and a custom tile mural showcasing a contemporary play on nature adorns the main wall of the space about the show kitchen.
